The PFAP is a joint project of Alamance, Chatham, Durham, and Orange Counties, with Orange County acting as the fiscal agent during the establishment phase, as well as the home location of the center. PFAP is in the process of transitioning to a Non-Profit 501(c)(3).
The PFAP ’s start began in 2007, with Weaver Street Market and Whole Foods contributing to an area Feasibility Study of a food incubator for the Piedmont.
The PFAP construction started in 2010, and was completed in the Fall of 2011. We feature a large variety of equipment to meet a variety food-business needs.
PFAP’s mission is simple: To create a strong base to help launch and grow new food-businesses in the Piedmont, focusing on a 75 mile radius in all directions.
